Founded in Roselló, Barcelona, on December 15, 1948, the first president of the board of directors and managing director was José Gómez Serrano.
He dedicated himself mainly to making radio receivers, but also record players, tape recorders and later televisions.1
In 1973 he created the Overkal video game console, a modified clone of the Magnavox Odyssey, which was both the world's first clone console and the first console manufactured and sold in Europe.2
It was acquired in 1978 by the German Grundig and continued to manufacture under the trade name "Inter-Grundig" until the early eighties when they changed to Grundig, disappearing the Inter name.
